TEMPERED RICE – PHODNICHA BHAAT

Ingredients:
• Cooked Rice – 1 ½ Cup Rice cooked in Cooker with 3 Cups water for 3 whistles (or) Leftover Rice also can be used. Oil – 2 tbsp
• Onions – 2 finely chopped
• Oil
• Rai/Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
• Hing/Asafoetida- ½ tsp
• Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
• Salt – as per taste
• Green Chillies – 3 finely chopped
• Crushed Garlic – 10 to 12 Garlic Pods crushed
• Coriander for garnishing
• Kadipatta / Curry Leaves
• Cashewnuts (optional) – 10 to 15
Method of Preparation:
• Heat up a Kadhai / Pan. Add 4 tbsp Oil
• When the Oil becomes hot, add Mustard Seeds. When Mustard Seeds crackle, add Hing, Crushed Garlic & Green Chillies. Mix well.
• When the Garlic is fried properly, add Onion, Cashewnuts (optional), Curry Leaves, Turmeric, Red Chilli Powder and Salt. Mix well.
• Now add Cooked Rice little by little and mix well. Cover and cook for 2 mins
• After 2 mins. remove the lid. Our Tempered Rice or Phodnicha Bhaat is ready !!! Garnish with Coriander.
